The average weight gain during pregnancy is about 10-15 kilograms, due both to the growth of your baby, and its support system. The support system for your baby includes changes to blood volume, breast tissue, uterus, placenta and amniotic fluid.

There is very little weight gain in the first trimester and last month of Pregnancy ,and most weight gain occurs from the 4th to the 8th month.
Any concerns you may have should be discussed with your doctor and dieting should only be considered if recommended and supervised by a medical professional.
